Lectors (proclaimers of the Word) proclaim the Word of God at Mass in an inspiring and meaningful way.  They carefully review the Scripture passages and practice reading them aloud before coming to Church.  The proclamation of Scripture to the assembly of the faithful is given the dignity and attention it deserves.  Lectors are supported and trained to proclaim the Word transparently and clearly, so that the Word itself, not the proclaimer, is in the foreground.  A lector workbook, which helps lectors to better understand the readings and how to deliver them appropriately, is provided to each person serving in this role.  For more information, contact Deacon Will Bassett.
